Business Development Alliances - Senior - AWS

Velocity Technology Solutions is expanding and is adding an experienced Business Development Alliances - Senior - AWS to join our dynamic and highly successful team. We are currently interviewing for an experienced Business Development Alliances - Senior for our global team. Velocity offers Cloud services across public, private and hybrid cloud environments and is an Advanced AWS partner.


Recruit, establish, develop, and maintain relationships with key Alliances and Partners in targeted areas. Work cross functionally with the products team, marketing team, and other members of the Global Strategic Alliances (GSA) organization. Manage the partner relationship throughout the lifecycle; from business planning to integration to go-to-market. Key outcome and objective is obtaining well qualified referral leads from the partner ecosystem.


  • Work directly with global leaders from the assigned partner(s) to develop joint Go To Market plans

  • As appropriate to progress the relationship and drive business, develop repeatable selling assets, reference architectures, success stories and other assets with the partners

  • Work with the Velocity Sales and LOB executives to execute partner development plans in targeted region to drive certification growth and delivering customer success

  • Maintain dashboards of KPI’s that communicate to Executive Leadership the effectiveness of identified programs and investments, with a focus on referral leads, conversions, and other key activities

  • Conduct regular cadence between assigned partner(s) and Velocity

  • Ensure effective and timely internal & external communication and coordination of Velocity ecosystem strategy & capabilities. Serve as a key contact point for assigned partner(s) engaged with Velocity

  • Design and deliver region relevant presentations, programs, and content to assigned partner(s) teams

  • Be the voice of the partner and of sales to internal teams

  • Provide a business perspective to day-to-day development efforts ensuring customer priorities are addressed

  • Work closely across sales organization to ensure comprehension of customer needs to drive quality interactions and outcomes

  • Monitor sales pipeline and work closely with sales teams to accelerate opportunities by meeting directly with customers to provide comprehensive product and industry insight

  • Candidate must ensure that compliance with data protection legislation under the DPA, EU GDPR, any other ​applicable ​data protection legislation

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in partner enablement, partner development, partner alliance, partner enablement-related position, or equivalent

  • 10+ years overall experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • A demonstrably strong network within the SI community

  • A customer driven focus and the ability to quickly pivot in a fast paced environment

  • A tech savvy mind, with a good understanding of the trends driving innovation in technology, particularly in Cloud, ERP, SaaS and Automation areas

  • You independently tackle challenges and don't need anyone to keep you on track. You're organized and efficient with a self starter attitude

  • You're creative and curious with the focus and openness it takes to work both independently and collaboratively across the business

  • The ability to travel depending upon the demands of the region
