Job Description


Key contributor to fast paced and dynamic global team providing network engineering support for a leading cloud applications provider. The network must provide flexible, highly available, and multi-tenant LAN/WAN, Security, and Internet platforms for the hosting of mission critical ERP applications for our customers using data centers located around the world. Customers also consist of internal cross-functional project teams


  • Contribute to the design of highly available mission critical service provider network infrastructure
  • Develop detailed network documentation including diagrams and work instructions
  • Develop detailed network project and test plans
  • Develop and communicate detailed work instructions for remote hands support
  • Execute network project plans with minimal supervision
  • Specify, install, and maintain network hardware
  • Coordinate and implement network changes while maintaining high availability
  • Occasional travel and night/weekend support in addition to participation in 24x7 on-call rotation
  • Complete assigned tasks on time to meet project milestones
  • Stay informed of current best practices as they relate to services being provided
  • Effectively participate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, server and applications engineers, and customer IT teams
  • Write complete and accurate Root Cause Analysis reports which are shared with customers and include preventive actions
  • Identify and communicate possible improvements related to work processes and tools

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • CCNA level knowledge of Cisco routing/switching and security
  • Self-motivated, analytical, thorough, and detail orientated.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • 3-5 years experience Routing/switching
    • Dynamic routing protocols operation OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
  • 2-3 years experience F5 Load balancing and advanced features
  • 3-5 years experience configuring and managing Cisco ASA
  • 2-3 years experience configuring and managing VPN (IPSec / DMVPN)
  • Previous experience with Cisco ACI operations and troubleshooting is a plus
  • Operation of diagnostic tools such-as Wireshark, IPerf, Netscout
  • ITIL foundation certification is a plus familiarity is a requirement
